Learning to Rest Instead of Striving

Learning to Rest Instead of Striving

Our world often celebrates busyness.

We are encouraged to do more, achieve more, and constantly push ourselves toward the next goal. Somewhere along the way, many of us begin to believe that our worth is measured by our productivity.

But God never intended for us to live exhausted.

Throughout Scripture, we see reminders to pause, trust, and rest in His presence. Rest is not laziness. It is an act of faith.

Learning to rest does not mean abandoning responsibility. It means releasing the pressure to carry everything on our own shoulders.

Some seasons call for perseverance. Others call for stillness.

Both have purpose.

Perhaps today, the invitation is not to work harder, but to breathe deeper. To step outside. To enjoy a quiet cup of tea. To spend a few moments in prayer. To remember that you are loved, not because of what you accomplish, but because you belong to Him.

Grace was never meant to be earned.

It was always meant to be received.

And sometimes, the most productive thing we can do is simply rest.
